Joy as Strategy — Building a Business That Feels Like You
Joy is your intuition’s way of saying,
“Yes — this is the way.”
We’re meant to do what brings us joy.
In life, yes — but also in business.
But for a long time, I forgot that.
I spent years operating from a masculine model: structure, strategy, hustle. I believed that if I was going to be “seen” or “successful,” I had to follow a rigid plan, show up a certain way, and tick all the boxes. Especially on social media. There was a strategy for everything — and none of it felt quite like me.
I was caught in a belief loop that told me:
“If I’m going to do this at all, I need a strategy and structure.”
The result?
Stagnation. Resistance. Burnout.
And worst of all — disconnection from the spark that led me to this work in the first place.
When You’re Out of Alignment, It Shows
The thing is, when you’re not in alignment, it’s almost like life closes in on you. You push, but nothing moves. You launch something and no one responds. You post online and it falls flat.
But when you’re in alignment — when you’re tapped into joy, ease, and authenticity — things begin to click into place.
So now, before I do anything — especially in business — I pause and ask:
💫 How do I feel right now?
✨ Does this spark joy?
🧡 Do I love what I’m creating or sharing?
🌿 Does this feel light, open, and true to me?
If the answer is no — I give myself permission to stop.
To realign. To go inward before pushing outward.
Inner Work = Outer Flow
This shift didn’t happen overnight.
It came from doing the inner work — the deep, honest work of examining my belief systems, clearing inherited patterns, and learning to trust my own inner knowing over someone else’s template for “success.”
It came from realising that joy isn’t frivolous — it’s strategic.
It’s an inner compass pointing you toward resonance, ease, and alignment.
And I know now, from both experience and the work I do with clients, that:
When you build your business from a place of joy and alignment, you become magnetic.
Not because you’re trying to be, but because people can feel the truth of you.
