This week we're putting the microscope on the topic of Living Intentionally. This incorporates using intentional steps, bringing your thoughts, words and actions into alignment and showing up to create the outcome you desire.
Yes, there is a difference between "acting as if" and "living intentionally," though they can be related concepts.
Acting as if often involves adopting behaviors or attitudes associated with a desired outcome or identity, even if you don’t fully feel that way yet. For example, if you want to be more confident, you might act confidently in social situations, even if you’re feeling nervous inside. It’s about projecting an image or embodying a role to bring about change.
Living intentionally, on the other hand, focuses on making conscious choices aligned with your values and goals. It’s about being mindful of your actions and their consequences, ensuring that what you do reflects what you truly want in life. This approach encourages self-reflection and alignment between your actions and your beliefs.
In Summary:
While "acting as if" can be a strategy for change, "living intentionally" is more about conscious decision-making and alignment with your true self. Both can be powerful, but they serve different purposes.
Here's an example of intentional living. When you're intentional, you live like the quote 'I'll see it when I believe it' as opposed to 'I'll believe it when I see it'. Takes a bit of getting your head around, but it's like if you wanted to meet the partner of your dreams, but you only had one bedside cabinet on your side of the bed, you're not really ready for them to enter your life and maybe you don't even believe it's possible?

The question for you then is: how are you currently showing up in the movie of your life?
